Parish Lenten Mission

St. Matthew Parish will host a special Lenten Mission beginning this Sunday, February 28th through Tuesday, March 2nd. It will be conducted by Father Ray Introvigne and Mrs. Judith Hughes, Co-Directors of the Spiritual Renewal Service of the Diocese of Norwich. Father Ray will be preaching at all the Masses this coming weekend to invite our parishioners to the mission. The theme of our mission is “Return to Me.” The mission will begin each night at 7:00PM in the church. A social will take place each night in the parish hall after the mission presentations.

On the second night of the mission, Monday, March 1st, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Several priests will be available for personal confession. Because of this special mission penance service, we will not have our regular Lenten Penance Service toward the end of Lent. Extra times will be scheduled for regular confessions prior to our Holy Week and Easter celebrations.
